CAP 

WHY WE STARTED

The SNS Board of Directors wished for people with developmental disabilities to truly connect with others and become valued members of their communities. So, in 2021 the Board approved the plan to develop the Community At Play program.

CAP is for everyone, all ages and all abilities. It is our nature, as humans, to want to connect with others. We recognize that not all disabilities are visible, such as autism, chronic pain, learning difficulties, mental health conditions, epilepsy, and sensory loss just to name a few. We host a large variety of events to bring people from different communities, backgrounds, and lifestyles together, and through their participation at our events many have developed active interests and positive connections while engaging with others.
